Legal fees are always discussed in advance and confirmed in writing, so there are never any unpleasant surprises down the road. Because of ethical, professional, and practical concerns, fee arrangements vary depending on the type of legal assistance needed.

In personal injury cases, for example, the fee is usually a percentage of the amount recovered and contingent upon recovery. If clients do not receive compensation, then there is no fee owed. With many firms there may be circumstances that will require clients to be responsible for costs or expenses even in the event they do not recover any compensation, however, our contracts don't allow for this.
